From Christmas 2000:
Is that one of Santa's Elves?
Here are a couple of family pictures from MN Thanksgiving 2001.
Um, what is that stuff in turkey that makes you tired?
And from IL Thanksgiving 2001
These are from Christmas 2001:
This is my old High School in Sandstone, MN, affectionately known as "The Rock". It was originally built out of large sandstone blocks in 1901 from the Sandstone Quarry by Kettle River. It was rebuilt after being gutted by a fire in 1910. The mounting for the flagpole gives the details of those dates.
My name is John. I am 42, 5'8", 175lbs., average build, dark blonde hair, hazel eyes. I am a professional, working in the Twin Cities in MN. I have spent the better part of the last few years building my career. Now I am hoping to expand and build a social life.
In the last year or two, I have been expanding other elements of my life. I have started learning how to cook. I have learned to stir-fry, grill, use a crock pot, and other things. This is part of an effort to eat a little better, and to get away from some of the canned and frozen foods.
Another big change is a return to night school. I have been working in the electronics field for 10 years as a technician. I decided to work toward upgrading my degree to a full Electrical Engineering degree. This will take many years though. After all, I will still be working full time (with some OT thrown in), and taking classes in the evenings. I have ALOT of math classes to take. That is my current short term goal for school. I need to get through all of the math classes, and many of the liberal arts. Then I will need to apply for the core engineering courses at the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota.
I have been going to night classes for 2 1/2 years now. Most of these classes have been focused on the required math and liberal arts courses. I will be starting the Calculus sequence fall 2000. I know, real exciting! NOT! (but it is required)
Right now, work and school is taking alot of my time. There is just a bit too much homework. However, this is not unexpected. I just keep telling myself it is worth it in the long run! hehe
